‘King Lines’ coming to Jackson Sept. 28
If God came to you in a dream or on a cloud and decreed that it was your sacred duty to produce the most bad ass climbing movie ever, as judged by the almighty himself, then you would do two things:
First, you would call Peter Mortimer (First Ascent, Return 2 Sender) and Josh Lowell (Pilgrimage, Dosage) and beg them to collaborate on the production of your film — something they’ve never done before — because they’re the two most talented climbing filmmakers out there and after all, you’re on a mission from God.
And second, you would do whatever necessary to get Chris Sharma as your star, because he’s basically the best rock climber in the world and comes off like some freakishly charismatic and asskicking combination of Superman and Jimmy Stewart. And then you’d send them all off to Spain, France, California, Venezuela, Greece, Utah and Mallorca to get the goods.
Which is exactly how the brand-spankin’-new film “King Lines” came to be. Minus the God stuff.
And we’re showing it. Soon. Here in Jackson. And God said that was good.
If that’s not enough, come for the additional video grooviness we’ll throw up on the screen before King Lines, for the Windstopper swag we’ll throw at you, and for all the happy autumnal vibes we’ll throw at each other.
