Thanksgiving and Black Friday (or Buy Nothing Day) are days off for The Mountain Culture.

Today, I’m thankful that the puppy I’m fostering made me get up early to play in the snow, for my siblings who meet every year on this day and for the chance to wish strangers a gluttonous gleeful holiday when passing on the street.
