Consume for the Planet

November 27th, 2007 by Lauren

Guilt free shopping.

The ultimate American greenie dream: Helping the planet by buying cool stuff (And by cool, we mean things like a surf session for two with Yvon Chouinard and Chris Malloy, a guitar signed by Jack Johnson and a brand new New Belgium cruiser bicycle.)

1 % for the Planet makes it easy in their new online auction!

Anyone can bid, but you have to be a member to donate. All proceeds go back into the umbrella organization (which is a non-profit, itself). Interested in how the organization works? Click here).

Local Tidbit: Jackson Hole’s own Mountain Khakis (which has “set the standard,” according to the 1% Web site by forwarding the auction site to 8,500 friends and customers in their database) has donated a Jackson Hole Mountain Getaway: a his-and-hers wardrobe, two nights at the new LEED-Certified Hotel Terra and two Two-Day complimentary lift tickets at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

Better start buying! Auction closes December 5.
