Not a Post: Tomorrow is Here

December 31st, 2007 by Lauren

Whether you want to ski powder every day or become a real estate mogul, 2008 is YOUR YEAR!

Tomorrow is the weightiest tomorrow. It’s the tomorrow of “I’ll start my diet tomorrow” or “pay off my credit card tomorrow” or “become a better friend tomorrow.” Tomorrow is it: The First of the Year.

If your own personal goals aren’t inspiring or guilting you into action for 2008, try the following sites. They’re fun, inspirational and might even get you off your butt, out of your old patterns and into something new, like writing a novel, making a surf movie or becoming a better person.

Happy New Year!!

43 Things: An online forum for goal-setters to post 43 goals, report on their progress and get support from other people starting their own lists TODAY.

Popular New Year’s Resolutions: The US Government’s list of the 13 most popular resolutions, not for itself, but for its people.

Check out Forbes’ list of 10 things to do before you die. Or, expand it to 100 things. Hopefully you’ll have more years than just 2008 to complete the checklist. But, still. Start today.

Romantics and dreamers who want their intentions to soar off into the universe on little pieces of colorful paper can write them on a piece of confetti that will be released TONIGHT at 12 a.m. Eastern Time onto the streets of Manhattan. Check it out.  It’s free(!) and if you’re in the mountains instead of the city, you can do it virtually.

Thanks to everyone for supporting The Mountain Culture’s inaugural year.

We promise to get better and better … starting tomorrow!
