The ‘Ghee

The Cloudveil crew would like to extend a special thanks to Dave Hudacsko at Grand Targhee Resort who filled us in on the last stashes of incredible powder the day before a new system rolled in.

It is amazing how long Grand Targhee holds soft snow after a storm. There is nothing quite like bluebird powder with a little air under your feet - the two add up to the makings of a great day. Arden and Trask of Arris Productions and Gabe Rogel posted to capture a few images of Rob Kingwill, Mike Leake, Jackie Edgerly and wonderboy Nick Devore during the small morning window before the clouds rolled in. If you want to see telemarking like you have never seen it before, then watch Nick compete with a free heel next week at the JH Freeskiing Comp this coming weekend.

But last Friday, the ‘Ghee provided the beautiful backdrop for a crowd free day of incredibly soft snow. Despite a few bruises, we had a great session at one of the best venues in the Tetons. Thanks, Dave. -JK

Shhh….don’t tell. The majority of the “rippers” in Jackson still refuse to acknowledge the sickness in and around Targhee, leaving more untracked powder for weeks after the storm, more for you and me. Gotta love the playground huckfest that is Targhee’s backside. Cheers
